During their formative years, artists of the French Impressionist Movement found a "confirmation for their personal way of seeing, feeling, understanding and interpreting nature" in the art of Japanese woodblock prints.  Discover the developments that lay the foundation for an artistic and cultural exchange between Japan and the West and explore Japanese artistic techniques, aesthetics, subjects, and themes reflected in the art of the Impressionists.
